Hamantaschen Revised

Purim is only a few days away are you ready?!?!

I sure am not. So many last-minute things to get done and not enough time!

So I'm here to share a recipe with all of you that I have done for the past two years and it has been a huge success with everyone who tried it. I do not like to make hamantaschen its time consuming and difficult to master at least for me. So I take an easier route and make rice crispy hamantaschens. I love rice crispy treats so when I learned there was a way to make them into hamantaschens I jumped at the opportunity. This recipe is quite simple with minimal ingredients and no baking needed!

There are two ways to doing this recipe either using marshmallows (you will need to melt them.) Or using marshmallow fluff. I typically use marshmallow fluff because I don't need to worry I'll burn it ;) But I do not have exact measurements for that it is more of you decide as you go.

So YOU decide which way you want to go.

1 package (10 oz) Marshmallows

3 Tablespoons margarine

Marshmallow Fluff

6 cups rice crispies

1 cup chocolate chips

Let's do this ->

In a large saucepan melt the margarine over low heat. Add your marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Then remove from heat. Add rice crispies and stir until well coated.

IF USING MARSHMALLOW FLUFF you will just combine the marshmallow fluff with rice crispy - that is the only difference

Line a 19 x 13 with parchment paper or coat it with cooking spray and using a greased spatula evenly press mixture into the pan. Allow it to cool completely. Cut into triangles. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave for about a minute in a half with 15-second intervals and spread the chocolate in the middle of the triangle.

If you DO NOT want to melt the chocolate chips just put a few in the center of the triangle but press firmly so they do not fall out.

Then comes the best part serve and enjoy!

The picture is not my own. Mine came out just the same just whiter.
